BSF picked up one in Meherpur border

Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi national from Sonapur border point in Mujibnagar upazila in Meherpur on Monday night.
The Bangladeshi national was identified as Selim Hossain, 28, son of Nazrul Islam of Sonapur in Mujibnagar.
Amir Khasru, commander of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) in Mujibnagar camp told that a BSF team from Pathaghata in Nadia district in Pashchimbangla picked up Semilm when he crossed the border near the border pillar no 108 at Sonapur at about 7.30:pm without legal documents.
Semilm’s father Nazrul told the journalists that Selim went out of home with an angry mode after altercation with his father on Monday noon and since then he was traceless.
“We came to know about his confinement by BSF in the morning on Tuesday through our Indian relatives,” Nazrul told.
BGB official Amir Khasru told that they have sent a letter to BSF asking flag meeting after they confirmed of picking up the Bangladeshi in Tuesday morning.
BSF however, could not any reply till the noon.
