Bangladesh injured in BSF fire

A Bangladeshi boy was severely injured when Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) shot him at Joypur border point in Mujibnagar upazila in Meherpur o Sunday noon.
The incident took place when some boys were collecting grass for cattle in Bangladesh territory. Lt Col Kazi Asaduzzaman, commander of Border Guard Bangladesh-32 Battalion told that a BSF team from Gomra camp of Nadia in Paschimbanga State opened fire targeting the youths around 2:20pm leaving Abdul Momin, 18 son of Abu Taleb of Joypur in Mujibnagar injured with bullet.
Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mujibnagar Police Station, said Momin was admitted to Meherpur General Hospital with critical condition as he received bullet in his lower abdomen.
Earlier on January 1, the BSF pushed 41 Bangladeshi nationals through the same border point. On the same day, BGB caught a BSF Jawan when he crossed Bangladesh territory. The BSF man was returned after a flag meeting on the same night.
