Gambhira, pot gaan in Meherpur

A cultural programme on human rights was held at remote Amjhupi village in Mujibnagar upazila in Meherpur on Thursday evening.
The programme includes Pot Gaaan, Gambhira and drama held at Amjhupi Primary School ground. Rupantar, a human rights organisation in Khulna organised the programme to generate awareness on human rights among the younger generation emphasizing the importance of social relationships.
Advocate Miazan Ali, Administrator of Meherpur Zilla Parishad inaugurated the programme. Motasim Billah Motu, mayor of Meherpur municipality, Amjhupi unio parishad chairman Saiful Islam spoke the occasion among others.
The speakers said that there are many ways to establish closer links among the people of society. We always should try to develop the bond positively among the people.
The speakers urged more such programme specially in remote country side to build awareness among the men and society.  Later, artists of Rupatntar staged pot gaan, Gambhira and drama addressing the issue.
