Speakers tell in view sharing

It’s impossible to develop the nation keeping teachers deprived

God creates human being, education enlightens these creatures and who push this education among the human is a teacher. So how can we expect education to  develop the nation  keeping  the teachers deprived ?
This vital question was raised in a view sharing meeting held on Saturday in Kushtia on the occasion of International Teachers Day-2012.
The speakers also urged all to enhance their cooperation for teachers and to stand for him.
National based NGO SETU and Mass Campaign jointly organised the programme.
Civil Society Education Fund assisted the programme. Eminent researcher and journalist editor and publisher of Kushtia based Bangla daily Dainik Kushtia and only Englsih Weekly in the region as well as The Daily Star Correspondent Dr. Amanur Aman in the chair the programme was addressed among others by Additional Police Superintendent of Kushtia Zoynul Abedin, Associate Professor of English also Head of the Department Kushtia Government College Nur Uddin Ahmed, Assistant Professor of the same department Ajoy Moitra, freedom fighter president of Kushtia district High School Teacher’s Association Sahabub Ali, president of Kushtia district Jatyia Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Golam Mohsin as honourable guests. The speakers observed that dignity of teachers suffered decline across the world. The situation has worsened in third world country where majority of the teachers are living in poor condition.
The condition is much deplorable in Bangladesh where teachers are suffering with manifold problems. A large number of teachers  here remain out of government privileges. They are even deprived from their basic rights.
The speakers urged immediately to ensure all opportunity related the lives of teachers.
Among others, Kazi Shamsunnahar Alo, principal of English Version SunUp Internation School and College, Zoglul Haider, Assistant professor of Khalisakundi Degree College and Ahsan Mujahid.
Hasib Nehal Rinet, Manager of Human resource of SETU coordinated the programme.
