BSF picks up 4 Bangladeshis

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up four Bangladeshi national in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenidah early Sunday.
The victims were identified as Matiar Rahman, Jahurul Islam, Shafiqul Islam and Shahidul Islam, reports our Jhenidah correspondent.
Subedar Md Abdul Aziz, company commander of Kushumpur camp of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), said the BSF troops from Fatehpur camp of South 24 Pargana of India chased a group of 15 to 20 cattle traders when they went to Indian territory through Kushumpur frontier to receive a consignment of cattle.
Facing Indian border troop’s resistance, the cattle traders threw brick chips on them, the BGB official said.
After a 30-minute chase, the BSF managed to catch Rabiul, Shafiqul and Jahurul around 4:30am, the BGB official said.
Shahidul along with other Bangladeshis managed to flee the spot.
The BSF members detained Shahidul around 7:30am when he again entered into India territory to recover his mobile phone, which he had lost during the chase, he added.
