Top Bangladeshi criminal killed in India

A top Bangladeshi criminal accused in a dozen of cases and hiding in India was killed allegedly by his rivals at Fonkitola in Shikarpur Thana in Nadia district in Pashimbangla early Monday.
BSF handed over the body after a flag meeting on Wednesday.
The dead was identified as Milton Hossain, 55, son of Bagu Hossain of Kazipur in Gangni upazila in Meherpur district in Bangladesh.
Mizanur Rahman, Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Gangni police station quoting Milton wife Benzura Khatun told that unidentified criminals shot and bombed Milton at about 6.30:am at Fonkitola area in Shikarpur Thana in Nadia district in Pashimbangla and ensured his death. The body was dumped at Shikarpur field. Milton was residing Fonkitola area.
Farmers found the dead body and informed to Shikarpur BSF.
Police team from Shikarpur Thana in Nadia district of Pashimbangla  recovered the dead body and sent to Nadia sadar hospital.
Milton was accused around a dozen of cases including 4 for murder filed with Gangni and Mujibnagar police station in Meherpur, OC said.
Benzura Khatun, wife of Milton told  journalists that her husband stayed at Fonkitola area for last four years. He often came to Bangladesh and returned there within 4/5 days of interval.
Police said Milton often crossed the border and committed crimes in the country and then backed to India. He was involved in various border crimes including firearms and drug smuggling.
According to police records, Milton was accused Kaber Uddin murder case took place May, 19, 2010 at Kazipur, two brothers—Rafiqul and Abu Zel murder in February 2011. Milton blasted 10 bombs on Kazipur border on December 12, last year.
After a written statement of the incident from Milton’s wife Benzura, BGB Kazipur camp communicated with its counterpart in the morning. In reply, BSF confirmed the incident of killing of Milton. Then BGB proposed for a flag meeting asking return of the dead body.
A flag meeting was held at the pillar No-146/4S under Kazipur border point at about 4.30:pm on Tuesday.
After the decision of the flag meeting, BSF handed over the body on Wednesday.
