Bangladeshi cattle trader shot dead by BSF in Jhenidah frontier

A Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Kanaidanga frontier in Moheshpur Upazila in the district early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Anwarul Islam alias Anar, 35, son of Abul Kashem of Pipulbaria village in the upazila.
Moheshpur police station SI Ashiqur Rahman told banglanews, “Some BSF personnel opened fire on Bangladeshi cattle traders including  Anwarul near the main pillar-50/13t on the border at about4:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.”
BGB-26 battalion Jadobpur camp Subeder Sheri Alam told banglanews, “Anwarul sustained bullet injures in his abdomen and right chest.”
BGB officials sent a letter to their BSF in this connection, he added.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-26 commanding officer Colonel Abul Kalam Azad confirmed it.
